Do I need an OpenAI key?
Yes — Rehatch uses your own key, so you're never locked into our pricing or a server we run. Creating one takes about two minutes; you paste it in once and you're set.
What does it cost to run?
You pay OpenAI directly for what you generate — typically just pennies for a caption and image. Rehatch adds no markup.
Which sites does it work on?
Capturing works on any website. One-click posting currently fills the Facebook composer — for anywhere else, drag the image in or copy the text with one click.
Is my data private?
Completely. There's no Rehatch server. Your key, your screenshots, and your posts stay in your browser and go only to OpenAI. We never see any of it.
What happens after 12 months?
Your license never expires, so you keep using the version you have — you're not cut off from what you paid for. After a year you simply stop receiving new feature updates unless you extend them. One caveat we'd rather say plainly than bury: Rehatch runs on OpenAI, Chrome, and Facebook, and we don't control any of them, so nobody can honestly promise a browser extension will work forever.
