These terms cover your purchase and use of Rehatch, a Chrome extension. By buying or using Rehatch, you agree to them.

1. What you're buying

A Rehatch license is a one-time purchase that grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Rehatch extension, tied to the number of device activations included with your purchase.

Your license is perpetual: it has no expiry date and requires no recurring payment. That is what "lifetime" means wherever we use it — it describes the license, not a guarantee of how long the software will keep working. Rehatch runs on third-party services and platforms that we do not own or control, and we cannot promise it will function indefinitely. Section 7 sets out exactly what those dependencies are.

2. Updates

Your purchase includes 12 months of feature and compatibility updates from your purchase date. After that period your license remains valid and you may keep using the version you already have, but you will not automatically receive new updates. If we offer a way to extend updates at that point, you can buy it then.

We are not obliged to provide updates beyond those 12 months, and we may stop developing, selling, or supporting Rehatch at any time. Because Rehatch depends on services and platforms we don't control, a version that is no longer receiving compatibility updates may eventually stop working.

3. Your OpenAI account

Rehatch requires your own OpenAI API key and uses your OpenAI account directly to generate content. Usage costs charged by OpenAI are between you and OpenAI — Rehatch does not bill you for generation and adds no markup. You're responsible for keeping your API key secure and for complying with OpenAI's own terms of use.

4. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Gumroad, who act as the merchant of record for this purchase. If Rehatch isn't right for you, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your purchase date — email hello@rehatch.design or use the refund link on your Gumroad receipt. Refund requests made after 7 days are handled case-by-case.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use Rehatch to generate content that is illegal, infringing, or violates a third party's rights; attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the extension itself; or activate a single license on more devices than your purchase permits. You are responsible for the content you generate and post using Rehatch, including making sure you have the rights to adapt any source post you capture.

6. Ownership

We retain all rights to the Rehatch extension itself. You own the content you generate with it for your own business use.

7. Services we depend on, and continued availability

Rehatch is not a self-contained product. It works by combining services and platforms that we neither own nor control, and any of them can change in ways that affect Rehatch without notice to us or to you:

We will make reasonable efforts to keep Rehatch working and compatible for as long as we support it. We do not, however, warrant its continued availability, compatibility, or output quality, and a change by any third party above is not a defect in Rehatch or a failure to deliver what you purchased. If such a change permanently prevents Rehatch from functioning, your remedy is limited as set out in section 9.

8. No warranty

Rehatch is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we don't guarantee that generated copy or images will be accurate, original, suitable for your purpose, or fit to publish — you are responsible for reviewing anything before you post it. If your local consumer law gives you warranty rights that cannot be excluded, nothing here limits those rights.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Rehatch — in contract, tort, or otherwise — is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost or unpublished content, or business interruption. Some jurisdictions don't allow these exclusions, in which case they apply only as far as that jurisdiction permits.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Volusia County, Florida for any dispute arising from these terms.

11. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
